Photos of Altun Ha

Altun Ha is one of the Mayan ruins of Belize. Most of the temples of Altun Ha date from around 550 AD to 650 AD. These ruins have been the inspiration for the Belizean banknotes and the Belikin beer labels. We have made photos of the site and environment of Altun Ha including the lake, the restaurants and the souvenir shops.

In the past year improvements had been made at Altun Ha to make it more interesting for tourists. When we visited the sign was still in place, but the restroom was already finished. At May 14th of 2015 the new visitor's center and the male restroom were officially opened:
