Orchid Bay Belize in Chunox, Belize

Orchid Bay Belize is a waterfront community that is located in the northern tip of Belize in the Corozal District on the Bay of Chetumal. It is literally next door to Corozal Bay. Bordering on the Caribbean sea for 4,500 feet, the orchid bay community allows for all water-related activities.

Location: ChunoxCorozal District, Belize, Central America

The water-related activities include activities such as sailing, boating, fishingdiving, snorkeling, swimming, kayaking, etc. Other possible activities in the expat community or the direct neighborhood of the community are hiking through the rainforest, exploring Maya ruins, visiting the Butterfly Breeding Center at Shipstern Reserve, working out in the fitness center, playing a tennis game, shopping, dining on the water or just watching the sun set at the docks.

The community design is according to the New Urbanism principle, where there are no hard lines or ridged housing zones in the design. The neighborhoods in Orchid Bay Belize are small and connected by green zones, bike trails and pedestrian walks. 40% of the development is planned for green zones. The home lots are distributed in 8 regions such as Cielo Park, Cazadores Park, Wild Orchid Way, Pescadores Park, Balam Forest, Alegre Gardens, Royal Palm Court and Ceiba Horse Field. Next to the residential regions also commercial development is part of Orchid Bay Belize. Depending on the location of the lot the lots are 0.1 to 1.5 acre in size and some of the lots are waterfront.

Spanish Colonial architectural influences with the flavor and climate of the Caribbean are combined in the home designs of Orchid Bay. There are home designs available for estate homes, villa homes, cottage homes, casitas (beachfront cottages) and condomiums. Also there are already built homes available at some lots, meaning that the home is ready to move in after buying.

Orchid Bay Belize is founded by Phil Hahn. He is an American residential designer, who purchased in Belize in 2003 115 acres for the development of this New Urbanism retirement community Orchid Bay. His new project is the New Ruralist retirement community Carmelita Gardens
